Life-changing results through a targeted approach

We designed a blend of natural enzymes that break down the most common gut symptom triggers like FODMAPs, including lactose, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), and fructans.

  • powder activates the moment it hits your plate
  • exclusive fructan hydrolase formulation breaks down fructan
  • FODMAPs are destroyed before causing symptoms

Sprinkle to make food painless

Adding directly to meals high in fructan, GOS, and lactose brings the best results. It's not rocket science.

How it works

Highly specialized enzymes

We created a unique blend of enzymes designed specifically to break down the FODMAP molecules

fructan hydrolase enzyme binds specifically to fructans and break them down to simple easy-to-digest fructose and glucose molecules

alpha-galactosidase enzyme binds specifically galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and break them down to simple easy-to-digest galactose, fructose, and glucose molecules

Lactase enzyme binds specifically to lactose molecule and break it down to simple easy-to-digest sugars, glucose and galactose

Product

What is FODZYME®?

FODZYME® is the first solution to target FODMAP molecules directly. FODZYME® is a novel enzyme preparation designed to tackle lactose, galacto-oligosaccharides, and fructans. These carbohydrate molecules are present in the most common and nutritious foods and are by far the biggest gut troublemakers — especially for individuals who suffer from conditions like Irritable Bowel Syndrome. We are also working on a novel polyol-degrading product to complete the FODMAP family.

What is the list of ingredients?

FODZYME®  INGREDIENTS: Fructan hydrolase, Lactase, Alpha-galactosidase, dextrose*, dextrin*, maltodextrin*.     *to stabilize the enzymes
CONTAINS NO: gluten, GMOs, milk, casein, soy, egg, artificial colors or flavors
Made in the USA . Never tested on animals.

What does FODZYME® taste like?

FODZYME is virtually tasteless and does not change the texture of food. Some people with sensitive taste buds note a slight sweetness. That's the sweet taste of being able to eat your favorite foods again!

Who should take FODZYME®? Will FODZYME® work for me?

FODZYME® is meant for adult humans ages 18+. FODZYME does not target specific conditions — rather, FODZYME's enzymes break down triggering substances (fermentable fibers) that are known to ferment by gut bacteria. Specifically, FODZYME's enzymes break down the fibers fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), and lactose. So, if you know that you are sensitive to foods that contain them, then we recommend you give FODZYME a shot once your doctor approves you adding a new supplement to your gut-health regimen.

Can I use FODZYME while pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no information to indicate that FODZYME® is unsafe for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. That said, we recommend that people who are pregnant or breastfeeding reach out to their physician before using FODZYME®.

We care deeply about the safety and science behind FODZYME®. All of our ingredients are Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA. Additionally, Kiwi Biosciences completes third-party lab testing for heavy metals, microbes, and other contaminants to ensure quality and safety.

Enzyme Science

Why is FODZYME® a powder when most enzyme products are in a capsule/caplet?

We love being asked this question because we get to geek out about our discoveries! We know from extensive testing that mixing enzymes directly into food is the most effective way to deliver an enzyme supplement.

This is because the enzymes need to mix well with the food to get to its substrates (e.g. fructan) within the food. Swallowing an enzyme supplement like a pill/capsule does not allow the enzyme to sufficiently work into the food! The enzymes in pill form remain localized until it is too late: the pH of your gastric tract becomes unfavorable for the enzymes to work or the enzymes become digested themselves. It is crucial to maximize food-enzyme-homogenization, and this is what our powder form achieves.

Usage

Does FODZYME® work with liquids?

Yes, if the liquid contains FODMAPs!

Ex: milk, smoothies, beet juice, wheat beer, etc.You can use FODZYME on liquids that contain FODMAPs (fructan, GOS or lactose).  Just mix FODZYME into liquids that contain FODMAPs and let sit for 5 minutes, then drink.  This gives the enzymes a head start and chance to work.

You can also do this with hot liquids like broth and soups!

FODZYME doesn't work well if you just drink it with water - there are no FODMAPs to breakdown.

What if I can’t mix FODZYME® into my food?

Good question! If your can't sprinkle FODZYME all over or mix it in, you can apply the enzymes to the first bite and chew well. This can be used on foods like burritos, granola bars, and much more. We call this the first bite technique. There should be enough enzyme activity to last through the rest of the meal, even if you chew all the enzymes in the first bite.

Many foods have a couple ways to apply FODZYME. Experiment and see what works best for you!

Example: Two ways to eat a slice of pizza 🍕
  1. 1. Sprinkle FODZYME all over the top like parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes.
  2. 2. Chew well and enjoy.Apply the full scoop to the tip of the pizza and enjoy.

How should I test FODZYME® for the first time?

Are you new to the low FODMAP diet and still trying to figure out your trigger foods?

Here’s a helpful video to get you started. We recommend sprinkling 1 dose of FODZYME on the foods you were planning on eating anyway and seeing how you feel. Note if you see a reduction in symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, excessive gas, changes in bowel movements, etc. Please keep in mind, FODZYME will not help if you are sensitive to polyols.

Are you are familiar with the low FODMAP diet and know your triggers?

This video will help get you started. If you know your triggers well, we recommend you try FODZYME by starting with a meal or snack that doesn’t trigger your symptoms and adding 1 high FODMAP food you want to add back into your diet. Example: Add a small portion of grilled onions to a low FODMAP meal. See how you feel over the next day or so. If that test goes well, add two triggers (like onions and some beans) to a low FODMAP meal or a larger serving of a single trigger food. If that goes well, feel free to try FODZYME on a high FODMAP meal with multiple triggers, like pasta or pizza!

Remember you can always increase your dose to 1.5 or 2 scoops if eating very high FODMAP foods or you are particularly sensitive to a certain food.
